The International Baccalaureate Diploma at Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong

Students attend Li Po Chun United World College for the final two years of their secondary schooling and all students study for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, which requires that they study at least six, but no more than seven subjects chosen, as outlined in The Academic Programme, to cover a wide range of subject areas. A timetable is constructed that allows the maximum number of students to take their preferred combination of subjects. The students do not stay in the same class for all subjects, hence an individual student will have a variety of class companions in different subjects. The class sizes are small by Hong Kong standards, usually averaging about 16 and all classes are of mixed ability; there is no streaming.
