Do I meet the requirements to apply?
To qualify as a Hong Kong applicant through UWC Hong Kong Committee, you will need:
- To hold a Hong Kong Permanent ID Card or dependent visa; and
- To be studying in Secondary 4 / Secondary 5 (or its equivalent) in academic year 2022-2023.
To qualify as an overseas applicant to Li Po Chun UWC through UWC Global Selection Programme, you will need:
- To be above 15.5 years old in September 2023; and
- Do not require scholarship assistance.
Where can I apply to?
Hong Kong applicants through UWC Hong Kong Committee
Hong Kong applicants can apply through UWC Hong Kong Committee to any of the 18 United World College around the world, including Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC). LPCUWC helps administer the admissions process to all UWC in collaboration with UWCHK.
LPCUWC: Approximately 50 scholarships are available to Hong Kong Applicants on a means-tested basis to study at LPCUWC. These scholarships are funded by the Lord Wilson UWC Scholarship Fund, and LPCUWC's own Endowment Funds, set up with the generous support of the Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund and Lord Wilson UWC Scholarship fund donations. Overseas UWCs: Approximately 15 scholarships are available to Hong Kong Applicants to attend any one of the other 17 UWC schools and colleges. Please note that not all Colleges offer places to Hong Kong students every year and some overseas UWCs have a minimum age requirement. Scholarship support is provided according to need on a means-tested basis, funded by charitable organisations (including Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund, Sir Jack Cater Scholarship Trust Fund and Lord Wilson UWC Scholarship Fund) and donations from alumni and supporters of UWC.
Overseas applicants to LPCUWC through UWC Global Selection Programme
Overseas applicants can apply to Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (and up to 2 other college choices) through the UWC Global Selection Program.
Please note that applicants who choose the GSP route forgo financial assistance. You can find information about our school fees here. If you need a scholarship to attend UWC, please apply through the UWC national committee in your home country.
